Pastor Jim Burnett

Greetings! So glad you have taken the time to view the SVE Chapel website! My name is Jim Burnett and I am privileged and honored to serve as Pastor of The Village Chapel. I am thankful for the opportunity to share the Word of God at The Village Chapel, and I am also grateful for those pastors who have laid a strong biblical foundation and effectively ministered to the church over the last 32 years.

Here is a little information about my wife and myself:
My wife Kay and I will celebrate 42 years of marriage this fall, and we are blessed with two adult children (a son and a daughter), their spouses, and five grandchildren (four girls and one boy) ranging in ages from 19 to 4. We recently relocated to Gilbert, AZ after spending the last five and a half years in Springfield, MO. I hold a Doctorate of Ministry from Evangel University / AGTS in Springfield MO. I am an ordained minister, a church planter, and have served in full-time vocational ministry over the last 26 years as a pastor and ministry leader.

My wife Kay holds a Master’s Degree in Global Theology from Trinity Bible College and Graduate School, is a published author, and has faithfully worked alongside me in ministry while also leading Women’s Ministries on the local, state, and national levels.

Kay and I are grateful to the Lord for years of ministry opportunity, yet I am reminded of the words of Paul in Philippians 3: 7-8a when He states, “But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.” I pray that you experience the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus as your Lord!

Blessings to you, and I look forward to seeing you at The Village Chapel!
